For me, this track seems more akin to some of my older material but with a more modern feel. It's definitely more of a guitar showcase than several of the other songs I had been working on around the same time. The solo section in the middle is an example of that. I think it's a good counterpart to a piece like "Adrift".
The title references two subjects: My own guitar influences and more overarching influences in our daily lives, whether or not they are realized.
