This is a shorter song that had been over two years in the making. I wanted to create something to contrast the more technical and demanding pieces I had been writing. There are strong influences from Jason Becker, David Gilmour, and Steve Vai throughout.
The song is quite emotionally charged. There are cheerful sections but also very somber portions, particularly the main guitar solo in the middle. I just wanted to speak through my instrument, to let the guitar sing what I was feeling. This may be as close as I have been to this goal in many ways.
